Stainless Steel
Stainless steel is an alloy of iron which contains more than 10% chromium. It does not stain easily but may dull or show finger marks. Clean with a stainless steel cleaner. Do not use powders
or steel wool as they are abrasive and will scratch the surface. You can brighten a dull surface by polishing it with a cloth or sponge dipped in vinegar or sprinkled with baking soda {
polish surface dry with a paper towel. Use baby oil for extra brilliance.
Aluminium
Use a mild detergent, lukewarm water and a soft, clean cloth. Standard glass cleaners also achieve great results. Never use harsh cleaning agents which often contain solvents like petroleum,
nitro-based thinners, acetone, nail polish remover or alcohol. Even alkalis such as baking soda can discolour aluminum.
